Renault Cléon

Renault’s largest powertrain plant, being transformed into an electric drive production centre within the separated ePowertrain business. Aluminium arrives here mainly as motor and gearbox housing castings of AlSi alloys, bought from external foundries. Renault is named among the largest customers of Nemak’s Hungarian foundry in Győr. The plant illustrates the shift of demand from engine blocks to electric drive housings, without a change of alloy family.
