Speira Recycling Services Töging (Innwerk, dawniej Real Alloy Germany)
operating- Status
- remelting of scrap and dross in rotary furnaces into Al alloys (liquid metal, ingots) and Mg alloys; salt slag is waste
Töging am Inn – the historic Innwerk, commissioned in 1924, whose electrolysis was shut down in 1993–1996 – it remained a recycling plant and, together with Real Alloy Europe, passed to Speira in March 2023. It is the only plant in the group with a separate magnesium recycling line, which celebrated its anniversary in 2025. It processes pre-consumer and post-consumer scrap and the most difficult fractions (low grades) and dross. In July 2024 Speira announced the installation of two of four new tilting rotary furnaces (up to 25 t charge, salt technology, hydrogen-ready) – the first in October 2025, the second in October 2026, as part of an EUR 11 million package shared with Grevenbroich. Its customers are automotive, construction, aerospace and packaging. The plant's processing capacity is not announced. Note: a separate, shut-down Befesa plant is located in the same town.
